The New Horizons Band program involves more than 75 New Horizons Bands in the United States and Canada. The New Horizons concept applies to seniors typically (but not necessarily) in large band programs as well as smaller ensembles such as stage bands, Dixie bands, orchestras and chamber music groups.
The New Horizons Band program is designed for beginning, intermediate and advanced adult musicians who wish to learn, continue, or hone their musical skills--even if you cannot read music. The fun and interactive musical environment allows people to play a musical instrument and perform in a band environment. New Horizons is living proof that, when it comes to learning to play a musical instrument, it truly is “never too late." By joining one of these groups, you can fill your life with music, new friends, fun and accomplishment.
